Scholarship Opportunities

Cordwalles offers three Scholarships for entry into Grade 4 (boys turning 10 in their Grade 4 year). These Scholarships have very specific criteria, but should you meet those criteria, they offer the most wonderful opportunity.

All scholarships are worth 100% of tuition, uniform, private music lessons and boarding costs. Our scholarship boys enjoy the opportunities offered by a variety of sports activities on expansive playing fields, well-equipped classrooms, as well as exciting music and cultural programmes before they leave Cordwalles at the end of Grade 7 to enter High School.

BURSARIES

Bursaries are offered to boys requiring financial assistance. Our Bursary Committee meets once a year in July to review applications for the following year. There is no 100% financial award with a maximum amount of 35% towards tuition possibly awarded (there are no bursary awards towards the cost of Boarding). A number of criteria are considered and this process is overseen by the school Bursar, Mrs Antoinette Hankinson.

Should you wish to pursue the Bursary option, you need to follow the normal application process which is overseen by our Admissions Co-ordinator and includes: a tour of the school, a meeting with our Headmaster Mr Lance Veenstra, the completion of our online application form with supporting documents, and finally a visit for the day by your son to Cordwalles during which time he writes our Entrance Assessment.

Once this is completed and a Placement Offer has been made, our Bursary Application Form needs to be completed and returned to Mrs Hankinson by latest 30 June who will let you know, in due course, what documents may additionally be required.

For further information, please contact the Bursar directly: bursar@cordwalles.co.za.
